Oh, THAT Taiwan! WHEW! Wow, you saved me from a WHOLE lot of embarrassment! So, what's it like in Bangkok? Why is your food always so spicy? And do you all ride elephants to work? (hehehe)
ReplyDeleteWhat you will find, unfortunately, is that Americans are typically not very proficient at geography. Canadians, of course, are geography whizzes, but DAMN if none of them seem to know that the name of their capital IS Toronto! Really, it must be - or so says 97% of us on THIS side of the border - so, by democratic fiat, it is thus so.
But, we are all patient and enthusiastic learners! So, your post above is appreciated! Oh, and feel free to correct Canadians about the name of their capital city. If they refuse to bend on their stubborn adherence to some other place, then insist your capital is Taipei and smile and nod, smile and nod... (I mean, it is Bangkok, right? ...so says 93% of us!)
Team Taiwan 2009 - Travel safe, and do GREAT THINGS! You are all wonderful, special, talented people, so my expectations are high, but rightly so.
ReplyDeleteYou have taught us well, and we fell in love with you, your energy, and your outlook. Reserve a place in your heart for us, and who knows - perhaps WE will be visiting YOU someday soon!
God speed, good luck, God bless!
